I'm Robert Willim. I work as a researcher and teacher at Lund university, Sweden, holding a PhD in European Ethnology. My research interest is mainly in the cultural dimensions of digital media. In my work I am also trying to mix science with other kinds of expressions like art, film and music. Occasionally I try to more consciously escape scientific mindbendings by producing electronic music. Nowadays this happens mostly under the moniker Selko.

Since 2002 I've been developing a concept I call Industrial Cool, which is one attempt to mix research with different forms of art. The focus of the works of Industrial Cool is to interpret the ways traditional manufacturing industries are going through changes. During the last couple of years several people have been working with IC and contributed with electronic music, video art, graphic design and performances.
